Snore Soothe® - Dry Throat/Mouth & Snoring
What causes snoring:
Snoring is caused by your tongue, mouth, throat an/or the airways in your nose vibrating as you breathe. It happens because these parts of your body relax and narrow when you're asleep; sometimes they relax so much that the upper airway (the nose and throat) partly closes, restricting air flow to the lungs. This process significantly reduces:
the quality and amount of unbroken healthy sleep (7 – 9 hours/night) required for a refreshed and energetic life
the amount of oxygen available to the lungs during the night reducing the body’s ability to perform its important functions of:
Healing damaged cells
Boosting your immune system
Recovering from the day’s activities
Recharging your heart and cardiovascular system for the next day.
‘Your snoring’ and Snore Soothe®
There are several different reasons/processes which cause people to snore; it is important to understand the process which causes you to snore and then purchase a product which meets your need. Snore Soothe® helps night-time throat snorers’ i.e. those people who snore because they breathe through their mouths at night, causing the throat or parts of the throat to vibrate when they narrow. This can also lead to dryness and soreness of the throat and mouth, especially if dryness of the throat and mouth is already prevalent.
What is Snore Soothe®
Snore Soothe® consists of 100% pharmaceutical grade olive with a honey flavour. The soothing oil is dispensed (it is not an aerosolised plume) via a metered dose pump and throat actuator. The oil lubricates the soft tissues/surfaces of the oral cavity helping reduce snoring and soreness associated with snoring. The product is kind to the mouth & teeth as it is formulated to be completely free from sugar and as such is ideal for people who suffer from diabetes.
Sleep loss and diabetes
Although not widely known amongst the snoring public, reduced sleep duration including broken sleep patterns has been clinically proven to increase the prevalence of metabolic disorders such as diabetes and/or obesity by:
decreasing insulin sensitivity without adequate metabolic compensation, resulting in impaired glucose tolerance thus increasing diabetes risk
down regulating the satiety hormone leptin and up regulating the appetite stimulating hormone ghrelin, thus increasing hunger and food intake
How to use Snore Soothe® to combat night-time throat snoring
Actuate the product 2 or 3 times before bedtime, then use the tongue to move the oil solution to the back of the oral cavity/throat area. Ensure that all surfaces are coated with oil prior to sleep. As the oil is pure refined olive oil and the honey flavour is food grade, then the oil solution can be swallowed.
